マルコ・ポーロ香港ホテルは香港九龍半島の先端にある大繁華街、尖沙嘴/廣東道に面した高級ホテルです。毎日大勢のビジネス・マンや観光客でにぎわうこの界隈は、ハーバーシティー/ゲートウェイと呼ばれ、我々にとりましても最上のお客様です。 実際、この界隈にはハーバーシティー・グループが所有するホテルが3軒あり、そのうちの2つはこの10年の間に改修工事がなされており、残るひとつがこのマルコ・ポーロ香港ホテルでした。塗料メーカー数社の激烈な競争の末、ハーバーシティー・グループが選んだのは関西ペイント社の塗料でした。 この裏には、実は我々が2014年から一年かけて行ったハーバーシティーの駐車場床工事が関係しています。その駐車場床工事は、工期も厳しく地下の駐車場であるため、漏水などによる不慮のクレームも発生しました。しかしその際の関西ペイント社の真摯で誠実な対応をハーバーシティー・グループが内部で情報共有しており、関西ペイント社であれば先ずしっかりとした管理を行うし、仮に不慮のクレームが発生しても他のメーカーのように決して逃げ出すことなく、協力的に解決すると言うことを知っているからです。価格的にも優位ではなかった関西ペイント社が選ばれたのは、こうした日頃からの地道なフォローが実を結んだ結果と言えるのではないでしょうか。 クレームがつきものの業界ですし、日本と同じように香港でも品質が重視される中、クレームや品質問題に正面から向き合い、格闘し、改善していく文化が、関西ペイント社には根付いております。

We received good news right around Christmas, that Harbour City Group confirmed to select Kansai Paint for this renovation, despite few more paint manufacturers having approached our client.
